Indoor plant propagation techniques 2021-22

To inculcate the importance of Indoor plants and its propagation methods for developing entrepreneurship quality, Department of Botany had organized one day workshop on indoor plant propagation techniques. Mr. Nikhil Phutanlar (Horticulturist) was a chief guest speaker. In this workshop both theory and practical based knowledge was given to students. The workshop was organized in two session. In first session he taught theory on how to prepare potting soil mixture, selection of pot size based on plant size, requirement light intensity for different indoor plants in India and its propagation methods which anyone can grow in own house. In second session he shown practical methods of each one individually. He also spoke about how to develop indoor plant nursery its cost and benefit for becoming self-entrepreneur. Finally the workshop was concluded by vote of thanks by Mr. R. P. Kashetti.
