The Women Development Cell of Maharana Pratapsinh Shikshan Sanstha’s Anandibai Raorane Arts, Commerce and Science College, in collaboration with the Vaibhavwadi Police Station, jointly organized an awareness programme titled “Women Protection, Cyber Crime and Drug Awareness” (महिला सुरक्षा, सायबर गुन्हे व अमली पदार्थ जनजागृती) on 4th October 2025.
The programme aimed at creating awareness among students regarding women’s safety, cyber crimes, and the harmful effects of drug abuse. The chief speakers for the programme were Ms. Arif Mulla, Police Inspector, Oros, and Mr. Manoj Sonvalkar, Police Inspector, Vaibhavwadi. They discussed real-life cases and shared valuable insights on preventive measures related to women’s safety, cyber crime awareness, legal provisions and and preventive strategies. The programme helped students understand their rights, responsibilities, and safety measures in the digital and social environment.
The Program was presided by Dr. N. V. Gavali, In-charge Principal. Mr. Sanjay Raorane, Office Superintendent, and the Vaibhavwadi Police Station staff members Ms. P. D. Shingare, Ms. P. S. Shingade, and Mr. Kolate were present for the programme and extended their support.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Ms. V. C. Kakade, Convener, Women Development Cell, with active support from the WDC members Dr. Ms. D. S. Korgaonkar, Dr. V. A. Paithane, and Ms. S. S. Patil. The programme was informative and interactive. A total of 62 students actively participated and benefited from the programme. Overall, the programme successfully enhanced awareness and promoted responsible, safe, and law-abiding behaviour among the students.
